The Fairfield Trains are on the Metro North train system. Fairfield CT is fortunate enough to be home to three train stations making its location perfect for commuters to Stamford or NYC.
The first station is the Fairfield Center train station which is located at 154 Unquowa Rd (southbound) and 333 Carter Henry Dr (northbound). The second train station is the Southport Station located at 400 Center Rd and 96 Station Rd. Fairfield Center and Southport trains are managed by the Parking Authority at the Town of Fairfield. Monday through Friday from 5am-5pm, permit parking is required for many of the spaces. You can go online to sign up for the wait list for either or both locations.
There is day parking available but only in spaces with the green signs with yellow writing. The parking authority will put an envelope to mail in or pay online the day parking fee. If you park in a permitted spot without a permit, you will receive a parking ticket. There is additional parking at the Fairfield Center location at 140 Mill Plain Rd for permit and day parking. Parking after 5pm, weekend and holidays are free at both stations. To sign up for the wait list for a parking permit.
Fairfield Metro Station is located at 61 Constant Comment Way, Fairfield. It is managed by Owens Realty Services. There is a permit and day parking available. This train station is not on the Town of Fairfield website as it is managed by a private company. For information on the permit parking waitlist, you have to email them at: [email protected].
