Many of the homes in this area feature architecture from the colonial era.

Long Lots is primarily a residential area and at the heart of the neighborhood is the 40-acre Fairfield County Hunt Club. Founded nearly 100 years ago for equestrians and polo players, residents can still enjoy horse shows and polo matches. The club draws families from around the area for its resort-like amenities, gourmet dining, first-class sports programs, swim team, and vibrant social scene. Bustling with family-friendly activities, the Hunt Club offers two swimming pools, tennis and paddle courts, a formal dining room and casual grill room, summer camps, and a skating rink. Meanwhile, six barns and several indoor and outdoor rings maintain the historic riding tradition.
